Vienna, VA. (July 26, 2007)-XCALIBUR, a provider of software applications and consulting services presented at the NCCEP Annual GEARUP conference held in San Francisco July 22-25, 2007. Chris Rea of Xcalibur and Susanna Kung of AED, the Academy for Educational Development, presented on the challenges and expectations in creating the Annual Performance Report (APR) for the Department of Education. In addition to the presentation, the team released to the GEAR UP community their newest application "POETS" that enables end-users to customize their data import procedures and manage the import process themselves. POETS is an on-line longitudinal student tracking system that enables the schools, districts, and GEAR UP Program Officers to manage and monitor student and participation data.
