Xcalibur is pleased to announce the newest member of its team–Allie Sheldon!
Allie Sheldon joins Xcalibur after working as the Database Research Analyst for the Central Washington University GEAR UP grants. At CWU GEAR UP she standardized the grant’s data collection and import practices using SCRIBE and is excited to bring this experience to her new position
A native Floridian, Allie graduated from the University of Central Florida with a BA in Anthropology. She worked as a kindergarten teacher then a 9th grade English teacher before receiving a BA in Environmental Science from the University of Oklahoma. She moved to the Pacific Northwest to study the family dynamics of gibbons as part of the MS program in Primate Behavior and Ecology at Central Washington University. This fall she will begin working on her doctorate at the University of Texas at San Antonio in the Anthropology department where she will continue her research into the social and cognitive behavior of gibbons. Allie enjoys traveling and has been fortunate to work in China, the Gambia, Nicaragua, Peru and South Africa. When at home she likes working out, cooking dishes that remind her of traveling and taking walks with her pug Harry.
With GEAR UP experience and SCRIBE user experience, Allie is a great addition to our team!
